This past week was WPPI in Las Vegas, an event where amazing photographers from all around the world get together and learn, network and shoot ! Fellow photographer "Ms K" wanted to step in front of the camera for a quick boudoir session. The best thing is we have completely different styles, which makes the shoot all that much more fun.
Mackenzie is a fellow crossfitter and all around great girl. We decided to do something a little different and step out of the studio for a fun little on location shoot !
What an amazing time we had working with Les from Wilhelmina. She was a pleasure to work with. Here are just a few of the amazing images from her session.
Fantastic concept shoot with a great team. I was also able to test out a great new modifier, the Westcott 7' Parabolic. I simply loved the quality of light that came from this modifier. Here are a few images from the shoot. I will be adding more images soon !

I have been back and forth with the idea of opening up my services to include other genres. And today, I would like to announce the introduction of Boudoir and Beauty Photography back at Brian Joseph Photography. Normally, I would wait to update my site, post a few new shoots etc. I decided instead to let my site grow originally. I will make changes and updates as I shoot clients and receive permission to post online.
Boudoir Session With Lela
Here are a few amazing photos from my session with Lela. She was a pleasure to photograph, and we had an absolute blast shooting in my studio in Long Island City, NY.
So where is the bed ? After all it is Boudoir, isn't it ? Well, for people that know me, they know I like to take things and put a little twist on it. So for this session, no bed :) Enjoy !
It took a little warming up to the camera, but once he did Julio's personality came through. Lately I have been turning off the studio lights and going for a more editorial look, bright editorial look. This is a little bit of Yin/Yang. Dark and Light looks.
Julio looks like he fits right in an an for GAP or Banana Republic.
Xing Kai Wu
Ladies and Gentlemen I bring to you my first blog post on my new site. And I was really excited to be shooting Xing Kai Wu. Xing is a model, actor, and all around nice guy. I had the pleasure of shooting Xing at my studio in Long Island City. I wanted to capture something that he did not have for his portfolio, something edgier.
We started out on the roof top, which is probably my favorite place to shoot. And although we were quickly losing available light, we were able to capture some amazing images in a short time.
The Most of the Shoot was done with Elinchrom BXRI's as well as Wescott Icelights and Skylux LED.
Special thanks to John + Faina Two amazing actors and models. This was a quick thrown together shoot and I am really happy with the results..
